Route Trust

Route Trust means the line has to earn itself.

TrailFu should never stitch together a disconnected fantasy just because a rider asked for a big number. Distance is not useful unless the ride is real.

TrailFu product mockup

Product position

The Route Trust page positions TrailFu around its most important promise: no imaginary geometry, no fake connectors, and no confident-looking route when the data does not deserve that confidence.

Target

Connected

Routes should behave like real rides, not map doodles.

Failure mode

Explain

Tell riders when the data cannot support the ask.

Brand asset

Honesty

Truth beats fake magic.

How it works

Built in layers, not wishful fog.

Each feature page explains what TrailFu should do now, what it prepares for next, and what claims it deliberately avoids.

Connected trail graph validation

Route suggestions should be built from actual trail geometry and practical connectors. The product can still use intelligence, but the final line has to respect the ground.

  • Trail sequence validation
  • Connector labeling
  • Disconnected segment warnings
  • Target mileage honesty

Confidence before commitment

Riders need to know whether a route is clean, partial, data-limited, or better treated as a scouting idea. The UI should make confidence legible before a rider sends the route to the phone.

  • High, medium, low confidence states
  • OSM source status
  • Gap notes
  • Reason codes instead of vague warnings

Honest failure is a feature

When TrailFu cannot build the requested ride, it should offer a smaller connected option, a nearby destination, or a clear data-limited explanation. That refusal becomes brand trust.

  • Smaller alternate loops
  • Distance negotiation
  • Destination fallback
  • No fake completion

Mobile first

The web layer complements the apps.

Recording, on-trail use, wearable controls, offline behavior, and ride capture remain app-first. This site creates trust, beta demand, support, and a path toward future account sync.
